William L. Klender 1918...2009
Photograper, William L. Klender recently passed away after a bout with Pneumonia. He is survived by his wife Jeane and loving family. His lifetime of visual work lives on within the hearts of many who continue to enjoy his creative talents.

William L. Klender
Bill was a reknowned and award winning photographer who worked for the Baltimore Sunpapers Magazine for nearly 40 years. Even in retirement he continued to take beautiful photos as well as share some of his older classics with the rest of the world. Most of his photos on this site were taken using his Hasselblad square format analog camera. His photos have also appeared in the New York Times and Life Magazine as well as many books and publications. |

During his retirement, Bill also volunteered his time for elementary school children. He has always loved video and film so he helped run the daily news show for the children at school. He made lots of friends that allowed him to stay active in this field. He filmed, edited and produced and the kids just loved him. He's shown here transferring a video tape with his normal everyday smile. |
